U10s Ups and Downs!

At their best Exmouth U10s produced some brilliant play. But a strong Sidmouth team took advantage of any drop in concentration resulting in a demoralising first half where the Exmouth lads were 20 – 0 down. Never easily daunted, the second half saw a more determined team run onto the pitch, and produce 5 tries to Sidmouth’s 4, giving a final tally of 40 – 25 to the away team.
Tries were scored by Ieuan Brockway, Finn Musgrove and Benji Horn. Harry Sale and Connor Philp were noticeable for some quick passing, whilst praise must go to Raff Gill who played on despite coming off worse in a tackle as he sped for the line. Man of the Match went to Scott Acheson for demonstrating consistently good play throughout with some superb tackling. And relative newcomer Solomon McIntyre gained the well-deserved Outstanding Effort award showing signs of his promise throughout the game.
