Exmouth Under 11's lose on the road against Taunton

The Exmouth under 11’s were on the road again on Sunday to play against Taunton. The pitch was wet and heavy which made the game pretty tough for both sides, especially trying to handle a very slippery ball! The game started pretty evenly and it was Taunton who got the first try with a break away run. Exmouth responded well though and Taunton were desperately defending when Exmouth were awarded a penalty. Exmouth drove forward and a ruck was formed, Harvey Beatty came in at the back of the ruck, collected the ball and drove over the line for Exmouth’s first try. Taunton then moved up a gear and was better than Exmouth for a period with their passing attacking play which led to them scoring another 3 try’s before the break. The second half started off as the first half ended for the home side and they managed to score another couple of trys. Exmouth did rally for the final part of the game as they started to put some nice attacking passing moves together themselves. The great teamwork carried on and as they drove the home side backwards Tom Sanderson managed to get on the end of a passing move and score Exmouths second and final try.
