The Exmouth RFC under 11's travelled to Crediton on Sunday where they had the best of play in the first half only for the home team to run out winners in the end.
From the kick off Exmouth were playing the better rugby and were keeping the ball for long periods. Exmouth opened up the scoring when they were driving forward in numbers and the ball was passed out to Eddie Hooper who under pressure still muscled his way through to get the try. The conversion was scored and so Exmouth raced into the lead. The home side did manage to reply in the first half but missed their conversion and so Exmouth carried a slender lead into the second half.
Crediton started to play better in the second half and so it was Exmouth who were much more on the defence and although they battled well with some great tackling, they couldn't keep hold the ball for long enough periods. Crediton went on to score 2 more try's and 1 conversion, making them winners by 17 - 7.
