Exmouth under 12's lose out to Sidmouth

The Exmouth under 12’s first away game was hard going where they faced a committed and well organized Sidmouth side. Sidmouth came flying out of the starting blocks and caught Exmouth napping as the home side run out with 3 straight try's. Exmouth did start to get into the game when they decided to put some pressure on the home side and the match started to look a lot more even. As Exmouth forced the play, Jed Reid managed to evade a few tackles and score Exmouth’s first try. Sidmouth did reply but another nice run of team play from Exmouth saw Sam Gooding race away to score the second try. It was a shame that the lads couldn’t keep this good passage of play continue into the second half, as Sidmouth went another run of 3 straight trys after the break. Charlie Mears got Exmouth’s last try from a line out a few metres out from the Sidmouth try line. Sidmouth ended the game with another try to make the score 52 – 19 to the home team. Exmouth’s man of the match went to Sam Gooding for his work rate capped off with a nice try.
