Exmouth Colts 20 Crediton Colts 12

Exmouth won the toss and decided to use the eliments first and play with the slope and the strong wind in the first half. After 3 minutes Paul Bright intercepted a telegraphed pass from the Crediton Fly Half and ran in from the Half way line, which Danny Sampson converted. For the next 20 minutes the game was played in the middle of the pitch, with the Crediton forwards taking the upper hand and kept making ground by playing a good driving game. Exmouth defended well and after an Crediton infringement Sampson kicked a penalty into touch on the home teams 22. From the line out Scrum Half Lloyd Watkins made a jinking run and then passed the ball to Sampson, on his shoulder, to touch down under the post. Sampson converted. Just before half time Flanker Aaron Conway was yellow carded for being off side. Exmouth rallied around and won a Penalty on the stroke of halftime, which Sampson slotted over. Half time score 17-0. Sampson kicked a second penalty just after half time and then it was all hands on deck for Exmouth ,as Creditons heavier forwrds started to make holes in the Exmouth defence. Crediton scored 2 tries by their forwards in the second half, which one of those was converted. Exmouth spent nearly all of the second half in their 22 defending. Which they did well with good tackling from the whole team.The game ended with the score 20-12 to Exmouth. Man of the match was Flanker Will Siddle, for his tireless work in defence.
