The Nomads secured their second merit table win of the season with a hard , physical victory over Ivybridge 2nds .
The Nomads started slowly conceding a series of penalties , a 5 metre lineout a catch and drive to score in the corner the try was not converted 0-5 .
This woke the Nomads up with lots of pressure and penalties of their own , a good drive from Ash Reid quick ball for the backs for Kevin Rodwell to score Lloyd Murrin converted for a 7-5 lead .
Again the nomads kept up the pressure a quick tap penalty from Nathan Budd allowed him to scamper to score in the corner Lloyd Murrin converted 14-5 .
A Solid scrum allowed Murrin to go wide for Rus Sayer to use his pace to score under the posts Murrin converted 21-5 .
Murrin then produced a moment of magic to run in under the posts from his own 10 metre line he converted his own try for a 28-5 half time lead .
After half time Ivybridge and the Nomads both produced sustained pressure but good defence kept both teams out until 5 minutes from the end when Ivybridge scored under the posts the try was converted for a final score of 28-12 .
This was a very strong performance from the Nomads against a strong Ivybridge 2nd team , this week the Nomads are at home to Newton Abbot 3rds .
