Exmouth Nomads started their merit table campaign with a convincing win over Kingsbridge 2nds.
The Nomads started well and were ahead early from a penalty from Dan Mcloed 3-0.
Five minutes later the Nomads were forced in to an early replacement Mike Symons going off with a broken collarbone. This fired up the Nomads good work from Mcloed set up Kev Rodwell Mcloed converted 10-0 .
Good defence in midfield allowed Marcus Barnett to run in from his own 10 metre mcloed converted 17-0 .
The Nomads next try came from a break from replacement Paul Bright quick ruck ball for Dave wellbeloved to power over Mcloed converted 24-0 .
Again the Nomads were struck by injury Matt Wilson leaving the field with a dislocated shoulder .
The 2nd half started with Kingsbridge dominating after sustained presure they scored try was converted 24-7 .
The Nomads struck back immediately from the restart turning over the kick off quick ball to Jonny Boltrukiewicz who put Paul Bright through drew the last man to Dan Mcloed to score Mcloed converted 31-7 .
Kingsbridge again dominated good defence kept them out until 5 minutes from the end as they crashed over to score under the posts try was converted 31-7 .
The Nomads had the final say a charge down from Boltrukiewicz allowed rodwell to score Mcloed converted 38-14 . This was a great win for the Nomads losing two influential players in the first half with serious long term injuries they showed great determination ,skill and fitness to beat Kingsbridge who used ten replacements .
The Nomads next game is at home to Ivybridge 2nds this Saturday .
