With the Cockles playing away against Sidmouth this should have been a lot closer than the final result, which saw Sidmouth win 39-15. The game started with Sidmouth on the attack scoring three tries in the first 15 minutes to lead 19-0. The Cockles then fought back, with a well earnt try by Jake Gilbody playing number 8, Score 19-5. Sidmouth again attacked and the Cockles defence again leaking another try. Half-time score 26-5. Cockles came out for the second half on the attack, which led to Sidmouth giving away a penalty that scrum half Sam Conway took quickly and drove through the defence to score 26-10. Again the Cockles attacked with Jevon Burns driving over the line to score 26-15. The Cockles second half performance was more in keeping with how they normally perform. The score ending up 39-15 to Sidmouth.
