Cockle's U16's Vs Exeter chiefs

On a windy and cold morning at St Lukes Exeter chiefs were met with a strong Exmouth team on a roll. With only 3 minutes gone Exmouth's Jake Gillham 50mtrs out burst through the heart of the Chiefs defence, rounded the full back and scored in the corner. 0-5. For the next 10-15 minutes it was a forwards game with a great battle up front with neither team giving an inch. The chiefs then scored and converted. Score now 7-5. Second half

With the wind now behind the Cockles Flinn kicked a penalty making the score 7-8. Now with the Chiefs pressing and looking for a break a turner over ball from a ruck resulted in Josh Juleff picking up and driving over the line. Score 7-13. With 10 minutes remaining and both sides playing aggresive attacking rugby led by both sets of forwards, Chiefs pierced the Cockles defence to score. 12-13. The last play saw the Chiefs attack the Cockles with all there might only to be held back by the Cockles will to win in this eagerly fought local darby league game.
