The first 5 minutes were played at a ferocious pace, with both sets of forwards not giving an inch until Sarries gave away a penalty which Owen Flinn converted 3-0. The Cockles pinned Sarries in their own half, but were not able to break through a solid defence. In the 25th minute Sarries won the line-out against the throw on the Cockles 5 metre line, drove over and scored. 3-5. The score stayed like this until half-time. The Cockles started the second half putting the pressure on the Sarries, which lead to Connor O’Shaunghnessy scoring and Flinn Converting 10-5. The Cockles then had to defend with prop Matt Harris putting in tremendous tackles and scrum-half Sam Conway clearing up behind the forwards. The Cockles were given a penalty in the Sarries half which lead to Jevon Burns bulldozing his way through countless tacklers to score another try, score 15-5. The Cockles were now put on the back foot with the Sarries attacking from all angles, with only 2 minutes left Sarries broke through to score a try,Final score 15-10 to the Cockles. Their were some outstanding performances from Brad Cooke in the line-out, Jake Gillham, who was named 'Bling Player' of the Match for his defensive tackling and his centre partner Matt Wells who again put in tackle after tackle.
