On Saturday after the 1st Team game, new Honorary President Roger Holman presented retired President David Bassett with a crystal decanter to mark 30 years service to Exmouth RFC.

David held a number senior positions in the Club for over 30 years, including Junior Chairman, Club Chairman, Sponsorship, Director, Discipline Officer and latterly as President. As President from 2017 David announced his retirement recently. As a club Life Member from 2005, David will relish the opportunity to be ‘out of office’ and will very much look forward to enjoying Cockles rugby and associations’ that our club and game provides in abundance. In particular we know David with wife Gerry, will enjoy watching their grandsons play in our club junior teams. David will be a regular on the touchline.

Roger, on behalf of Exmouth RFC, thanked David for his large number years involvement with our club.
