Joining Steve Perry, Head Coach with Ali Hill and Ollie Dawe as Assistant Coaches, Matt will add considerable experience from recent Premiership rugby clubs, Exeter Chiefs & formerly Sale Sharks. With Engalnd U18 honours and a journey working with a number of club sides, Matt will develop Exmouth forward play, across all areas.

After a number of years with Sale, Matt moved to the westcountry in 2023. The second row made his debut with Chiefs earlier this past season, he now joins the COCKLES working with SENIOR and COLTS players and is looking to get stuck in during pre-season 2024/25. Nick Smith, DOR added, 'we are really pleased that Matt decided to join us, we have a lot of young talent that will benefit from his skill set. From chatting with him, I know Matt can't wait to get going.'
