EXMOUTH RUGBY CLUB MEMBERSHIP 2023/24

Where did the time go? 150 YEARS. It hardly seems anytime at all that Exmouth Scarlet Runners kicked off in 1873. You will see our nod to our forebears with the scarlet line added to our club badge to celebrate our milestone.

On behalf of EXMOUTH RUGBY, we extend an extremely warm COCKLES welcome to you all. A new season ready to entertain, we look forward to meeting existing & new friends at our home. Please enjoy your time with us.

We grow across our senior & junior rugby teams. Our club support from players, coaches, officials, family, friends, sponsors, with many other groups is what makes us tick.

MEMBERSHIP 2023/2024.

• There is a slight change to our membership categories. Please check the different options.
• Please note the Ways to Pay. For your ease we encourage BACS Electronic payment. Andrea will be happy to see you at our clubhouse if you wish to make a card payment. All details are contained on the form. You can email, post or bring your completed Membership Form and/or payment to the club. Please keep a close eye on club opening times as they are variable.
• Please Note ~ Your new Membership Card will be issued, once your payment has been confirmed. New 2023/24 Membership Card with relevant Car Park Permit can be collected from the club as they become available after your payment is confirmed.
• We retain the Members’ benefit of free admission for all the Cockles’ League games. Conditions apply and the details are contained within the membership form. Please always have your Membership Card on you when you visit the club at any time. YOU WILL ONLY RECEIVE MEMBER BENEFIT WHEN YOU SHOW YOUR CARD this include gate entry and bar. Please note that match day parking is limited.

OUR CLUB

During last year, all our Senior and Junior teams throughout our club continually displayed great pride on and off the pitch. Our support from family, friends, clubs and associations has been tremendous. We are greatly appreciative of every individual and business, who give The COCKLES their valuable time, support & financial assistance in a generous way. A Massive Thank You.

Nick Smith continues as Director of Rugby for our whole club rugby. Steve Perry as Head Coach with his coaching team, will seek to get the best from all our players. Guiding our COLTS, Simon Tate, well know to many, has worked to form a promising squad of lads to our Under 18s this season. It's great to have our COLTS back in action. EXMOUTH RUGBY WOMEN have started to assemble under the eye of Lead Coach Claudia MacDonald, Exeter Chiefs & England player. Exciting times.

I am incredibly proud of our Junior Age Grade coaches, managers, parents, supporters with club members who give time & energy to make our junior COCKLES such a fun, friendly, safe experience for all players, from U5 to U18 boys & girls. We’re expanding, especially girls Age Grades at U12, U14, U16 & U18. Lawrence Giles as Chair of Age Grade Rugby will look build for a new era with a great team around him.

Our invaluable Medical Team With Dr Simon Kay & Tammy Emmins provide first class aid, recovery, rehabilitation, S&C with fitness across our club, on & off field. Our Bar & Catering Team look forward to meeting you during your visit. Please pop in and say Hello.

As a club member or new to rugby, volunteers and commercial support are a vital requirement; Volunteers are needed thought out our club e.g. social media, design, match days, fundraising & events etc. If you can help, even with just an hour, please feel free to speak directly to me. The new season not only brings exciting rugby action, this will be with some huge challenges on club resources and financial provision. We continue to deliver playing pitches (grass or artificial) including more space & new lighting, new playing & training equipment, team kit, extensive laundry, complimentary junior and senior players food, medical support across our club and running a clubhouse including all its services and costs, for the benefit of our members and community.

Our club events team will host some exciting events and activities, we would like you to be a part of this. We kicked off with Party On Th Exe recently. What a day for all involved. Please keep an eye on club posters and social media for a calendar coming up.

We are looking to host a club clean up day and need your support, even for an hour. More details coming soon on how you can assist getting some of those tidy jobs sorted.

Our future for all families & friends is bright and we want you to be part of shaping our ambitious new future. Please keep an eye on Development Plans & Event Diary, you won’t want to miss out. Planning Permission for new changing facilities is in progress, as well as works around our current club house.
