EXMOUTH RUGBY joined together on Saturday 31st May to celebrate our COCKLES season, with those who make their mark each week, players, coaches, volunteers, family, friends, sponsors & supporters, just over 160 people put their stamp on a brilliant evening.

Along with presentations from familiar faces within our club, it was great to see awards given out by our super volunteers & coaches, representing squads across our club.

Nick Smith, Director of Rugby was on hand to present awards with Matt Postlethwaite, our forwards coach. Simon Tate (COLTS), Neil Hooper (U18 Girls) & Mike Sprague (ER WOMEN), all of our presenters spoke eloquently, on their respective squads as well as the success our club has deservedly achieved.

Chris Parks our Honorary President, delivered a couple of awards, also spoke warmly of his club. A fine season.

Roger Holman presented bouquet's, as a personal & club thank you to Sue Harris, Janet McCarthy & Nicola Smith. Ian Harris, Janet McCarthy & Nick Smith, out going Chair, Secretary & DOR, received mementos of their service to EXMOUTH RUGBY. Simon Tate received team shirt, signed by the COLTS, in recognition of his time with his squad across the years. Simon also stands down this year.

Janet also received the Nigel Harris Memorial Trophy for Service to Exmouth RFC, in excess of 30 years volunteer time, ending as Honorary Secretary, giving up many hours across our club including junior committee. A long journey, many congratulations Jan. Enjoy your retirement. The award was presented by Nigel's grandson Joe Harris.

Huge Thanks to our team of volunteers, under the guidance of Aloma & Clare, who organised & helped set up the evening and clear up. Including the work and commitment of our Bar Team & Graham Bruce, with his catering crew.
