A strong Cockles 2nd XV traveled to Ivybridge in this rearranged Merit Table fixture. The lads kept up their chase for the Devon Merit Table with a 54-14 victory, 8 tries and a second 14 point tally of the kicking tee from Harry Ottaway.

The tight first half was pretty even until Exmouth got in to their stride, tries from Henry Goldson, Matt Seager and Jake Inglis, all converted by Ottaway. Ivybridge did counter with a converted score of their own 7-21 at half time.

The Cockles blast out of the blocks in the second half, 5 tries scored, first Prop Callum Wood scored the first of his brace, Erin Inglis also touched down for the first of his double and Prop Paul Flower completed the haul. Harry Ottaway converted 4. Once again Ivybridge did manage a converted score.

A super team performance from the game hungry visitors, well played.
