A HUGE Thank You to all those that have renewed or joined us for the 2021-22 season. Your support by way of membership is very much appreciated.
Just to note that Membership can not be done via our Website.
We have bounced back & need your return to Exmouth RFC. We extend a special warm welcome to you for the 2021-22 season with The Cockles. We are keen to see you and need all your support across our Junior and Senior teams & much wider club.
We hope that you, your family and loved ones are safe and keeping well. We have all experienced unprecedented times.
Although disrupted we were extremely pleased to deliver rugby training and playing, later into the end of last season. Some age grades continued getting together through this summer. For seniors it seemed that pre season never ended. Also, we opened our bar and facilities as and when government guidance allowed. Our Patio Bar became quite popular, our bar team worked hard to ensure best service for all.
The Board of Directors recognise individual challenges as a result of the pandemic, we thank you so much for your support. Despite rising costs, we are exceptionally pleased to confirm that membership rates remain the same.
Please note the Ways to Pay. For your ease we encourage BACS Electronic payment. Andrea will be pleased to see you at the club if you wish to make a cash/card payment. All details are contained on the form. You can email, post or bring your completed Membership Form and/or payment to the club. Please keep a close eye on club opening times as they are restricted during the week.
Please Remember ~ Your current Membership Card will be Reactivated when your payment has been confirmed. Only totally new members will receive a new membership card. Car Park Permits can be collected from the club as they become available after your payment is confirmed.
We continue with our Members’ benefit of free admission for all the Cockles’ League games. Conditions apply and the details are contained within the membership form. Please always have your Membership Card on you when you visit the club at any time. You can only receive benefit on production of your card. Please note that match day parking is limited.
It is important that we have your correct, up to date details on file. Once completed, please return to Andrea Smale, Membership Secretary, together with the relevant membership fee.
FOR JUNIOR AGE GRADE PARENTS & PLAYERS
The Game Management System (GMS) is the RFU central database through which players & club members are registered. All Age Grade players are required to be registered with the RFU to ensure accurate contact details and consents are in place. From Season 2021-22 all parents and guardians are responsible for their own data for their chil/children and have to affiliate to Exmouth RFC.
If you have already been registered on GMS we will send you an email confirmation via the system.
New members to Exmouth RFC will have to create a new affiliation to our club.

- GMS Player Registration will not complete until your validate your email address.

We as a club are committed to being fully compliant with regulations and our own privacy policy can be viewed on our website. If you do not wish to receive emails anymore, you can opt out at any time.
OUR CLUB
All our Senior and Junior teams throughout our club continually display great pride on and off the pitch. Our support from family, friends, clubs and associations has been tremendous. Importantly our Sponsors help us to keep rugby going throughout the year, we clearly could not do what we do, without input from all. Your time, support and financial assistance in a generous way, make us a great place to visit. A Massive Thank You.
Following appointment by the Board of Directors and subsequent ratification by the members at our AGM, we are pleased to confirm that Roger Holman is our new President of Exmouth Rugby Club. Roger succeeds David Bassett who has retired. On behalf of Exmouth Rugby Club, a large thank you to David for his 30 year involvement, across a number of roles.
Roger has been associated with Exmouth RFC for a hefty number of years. He has been integral to our time at Imperial Recreation Ground and most people who visit The Cockles will have had a chat with Roger at some point over six decades. Congratulation on your Honorary President appointment.
Nick Smith is Director of Rugby across our club. The 2nd Team, under the leadership of Sam Harradine, with Richard Haynes bossing the Nomads. Steve Perry as Head Coach with his coaching team of Alex Goldman, Ali Hill and Steve Pape, will seek to get the best from all our senior players. Guiding our Colts this year, Tristan Bassett stepping up with U16s will seek to establish themselves.
Our senior sides are committed to play exciting rugby. Our 1st XV continues in the South West Premier League. Our 2nd XV in Devon Merit Table 1 (defending Champions), the Nomads remain in the Devon Merit Table 2 (Runners-Up last time out) and our Colts will be in league action albeit later in the season.
Our Juniors are strong across several age groups however we are always looking for the next generation of player, as well as coaches, referees & team support. It is great when our homegrown talent moves in to senior and representative rugby. It is particularly exciting to see our Girls Rugby growing. I am indebted to all age grade coaches, managers, parents and supporters who make Sundays such a fun, friendly and safe experience for all. Simply superb. A real team effort.
On & Off the field, Dr Simon Kay and Tammy Emmins with our valuable medical team provide first rate assistance, recovery, rehabilitation and fitness; second-to-none in the South West.
Volunteers are needed throughout our club e.g., social media, creative design, match day announcer, maintenance, catering, fundraising & events etc. If you can help in any way, please feel free to speak directly to me or Graham Price, Vice Chair. The new season not only brings exciting rugby action for senior and junior age grades. We continue to deliver playing pitches, playing & training equipment, kit, extensive laundry, complimentary junior and senior players food, medical support and running a clubhouse including all its services and costs, for the benefit of our members and community. With little game day or hospitality revenue coming in last term, your membership is extremely important in maintaining our commitment to you and facilities for use.
Any additional government, NHS and Rugby Football Union guidelines relating to Coronavirus, will also be in place. Thank you for your support and adherence to any request relating to safety and hygiene, whether playing, as a spectator or supporter. We want to ensure that the home of The Cockles is a safe place for all.
