HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to William Thomas one of our COCKLES, who travels to Japan at the end of October to represent at the World Deaf Rugby Sevens. This is the 3rd World Championship.

The competition runs from 31st October to 3rd November in Tokyo. Will, who plays for our NOMADS, will be part of the Barbarians, one of eleven World teams involved. Two other lads from Devon Deaf Rugby, Matt Ellis-Hawkins (Torquay) & Karl Caunter (Dartmouth) will both be representing England Deaf.

Well Done to Will & the lads selected.

Devon RFU Deaf Rugby was established in the autumn of 2024 in response to a gap in playing opportunities for the deaf community.

With a firm understanding that sport is for all and any disability should not stop anyone from playing the sport they love. From a first training session with 7 players in attendance to now having an active group of 47 across both men’s and women’s sides.

Good Luck Will, from all at EXMOUTH RUGBY we're very proud.
