We look to follow up on the success of last year across COCKLES Rugby Teams. Our club support from players, officials, family, friends, sponsors, with many clubs & groups is what makes us tick.
Behind the scenes, often unseen and unnoticed, our volunteers and club teams worked so hard. We thank each and every one of you.
We are exceptionally proud of all Junior Age Grade coaches, managers, parents, supporters & club members who give their time and energy to make Cockles Juniors such a fun, friendly, safe experience for all, from U5 to U18 boys & girls. We’re growing, especially girls Age Grades now at U12, U14, U16 & U18. Grassroots club rugby at its finest. Thank you.
We have started to invest in grounds and clubhouse. Following the superb news on signing our 99-year lease we have to maintain our current facilities to ensure we have a safe and comfortable home for years to come. We remain in a strong position to move forward and progress to new opportunity. We will shortly be able to share initial ideas on a possible vision of what can be achieved. Our robust business plan, with assistance, will be get us to where we want to be.

FOR JUNIOR AGE GRADE PARENTS & PLAYERS
The Game Management System (GMS) is the RFU central database through which players & club members are registered. All Age Grade players are required to be registered with the RFU to ensure accurate contact details and consents are in place. Continuing this Season 2022-23 all parents and guardians are responsible for their own data for their child/children and have to affiliate to Exmouth RFC.
Further Detail and Link to GMS can be found on our Website. GMS LINK HERE
We as a club are committed to being fully compliant with regulations and our own privacy policy can be viewed on our website. If you do not wish to receive emails anymore, you can opt out at any time.
Please Note - Website Membership is not membership of Exmouth RFC or GMS.
OUR CLUB
All our Senior and Junior teams throughout our club continually display great pride on and off the pitch. Our support from family, friends, clubs and associations has been tremendous. Importantly our Sponsors help us to keep rugby going throughout the year, we clearly could not do what we do, without input from all. Your time, support and financial assistance in a generous way, make us a great place to visit. A Massive Thank You.
Following recommendation by the Board of Directors and subsequent ratification by the members at our AGM, we are pleased to confirm that Roger Holman continues as Honorary President of Exmouth Rugby Club.
Nick Smith is Director of Rugby across our club. The QUINS (2nd Team), under the leadership of Richard Haynes, with Richie Guy & Phil Curtis managing the NOMADS. Steve Perry as Head Coach with his coaching team of Alex Goldman, Ali Hill and Steve Pape, will seek to get the best from all our senior players. Guiding our COLTS this year again, Tristan Bassett, Chair of Junior Rugby. The players seek to develop skills with coaching support from our senior squad coaches.
Our senior sides are committed to play exciting rugby in competitive Leagues. Our 1st XV in Regional 1 South West. QUINS in Counties 2 Devon, a new league including club 1st & 2nd teams across the county. The NOMADS remain in the Devon Merit Table 2 (Champions last year) and our COLTS will also be in league action.
COCKLES Juniors are strong across several age groups however we are always looking for the next generation of player, as well as coaches, referees & team support. We're completely chuffed when our homegrown talent moves in to senior and representative rugby.
On & Off the field, Dr Simon Kay and Tammy Emmins with our valuable medical team provide best in class aid, recovery, rehabilitation, S&C and fitness across our club.
Please say 'Hello' to Frank, Clubhouse Manager and our FAB Hospitality Team. A friendly welcome awaits.
Volunteers are needed throughout our club e.g., social media, creative design, maintenance, catering, fundraising & events, walking/touch rugby organiser etc. If you can help in any way, please feel free to speak directly to me or Graham Price, Vice Chair. We will be pleased to hook you up with a lead person and welcome your help. For contact details please visit our website
The new season not only brings exciting rugby action for senior and junior age grades. We continue to deliver playing pitches including new space, alternative surfaces when wet, playing & training equipment, kit, extensive laundry, complimentary junior and senior players food, medical support and running a clubhouse including all its services and costs, for the benefit of our members. Your membership is extremely important in maintaining our commitment to you and facilities for use. The Board of Directors advise we have to make a small increase in membership to cover rising costs.
Thank you for your support and adherence to any request relating to safety and hygiene, whether playing, as a spectator or supporter. We want to ensure that the home of The Cockles is a safe place for all.
