The start of England’s community rugby season has been postponed by at least two weeks due to the ongoing drought conditions across the country. This message is in line with communication from the RFU.

With player welfare and pitch safety the priority, the decision has been made to delay the opening of the rugby season while conditions improve.

Therefore, tomorrow’s pre-season fixture against Ivybridge will be rescheduled. We’ll confirm the new date as soon as we have further details.

We know this isn’t the news anyone wanted, but the safety of our players and the condition of the pitch must come first.
