The University Team traveled with good numbers to ensure an entertaining run out. Both teams were looking for a good trundle. The Cockles took the opportunity to include 4 senior Colts, Bertie Hughes, Owain Brinkworth, Jack Greenaway and Ben Mellor. Hughes bagged try. All featured very well and look a promising prospect for the future. Great to see young players progressing through the club junior teams. They will continue to challenge for senior spots. The lads had the chance to outpace Coach Grant Vaughan- Atkins throughout the afternoon. The Cockles won 33-0 with a strong team effort, not as one sided as the score suggests. A good game, played in great spirit.
