Exmouth RFC have added to their front row resources with the addition of Jack Madge from Hartpury College. Madge came up through the Devon age groups before leaving the county to go to Hartpury College for his studies. Having now finished his studies he has joined Exmouth to further his rugby development and will offer options with his ability to play both prop and hooker. Madge is formerly of Honiton and came up through the mini junior section there alongside current Exmouth 1st xv player George Meadows.

Director of Rugby Chris Wright comments:

'Jack contacted us about two months ago looking for options for him to continue his rugby development , and I am delighted that he has chosen to sign for the Cockles in what we hope will be an exciting season ahead. With Will Norton leaving to go to UWIC and with Lloyd Morgan not available until January, the timing and availability of such a player is great news for us as a club. Jack has worked extremely hard in the two sessions he has attended to date, and was put through his paces on the beach by Mystic Adventures, who are a local company specialising in training camps and team building activities.

'Mystic Adventures provided us with an extremely tough and demanding session designed around rugby specific fitness and team building. All of our players, whilst acknowledging how hard it was, were buzzing afterwards, and i is something that we will look to do again n the future. It has been very pleasing to see that the work ethic evident at the end of last season has continued into this, with new benchmarks being set for the players.'
