Exmouth going down with some fighting spirit after Southend are sunk
From The Exmouth Journal: Exmouth recorded a famous win in the dying embers of their brief stay in the National 2 when they defeated Southend 34-27.
James Harris and David Bargent both bagged braces of tries after Alistair Hill scored the Cockles opening try.
Ina see-saw game the Cockles had trailed 17-0 after just 13 minutes, but they powered their way back and, after 40 minutes, led 22-17.
The visitors then regained the lead to hold a 27-22 advantage after 46 minutes.
