A half time score of 19-16 to Exmouth told a story of a first half littered with errors, in greasy conditions, with Exmouth guilty of a high penalty count.
A dominant Exmouth scrum, an outstanding Tiverton goal kicker, and resolute defence from both teams were key characteristics of this entertaining fixture which saw Exmouth’s new signings Ben Hawley and Ollie Rice put in impressive performances.
Tiverton were well drilled throughout, led impressively by former Plymouth Albion player Wayne Sprangle and former Exeter Chief Tom Skelding.
