Former Plymouth Albion second Row Jim Massey becomes the latest player to join Exmouth RFC and is being sponsored by John Ludlow.

Exmouth RFC continue to add to their forward options with the addition of 6 ft 4inch Second Row Jim Massey from Plymouth Albion.

Massey is familiar to a number of his Exmouth team mates having played rugby with Ben Hawley, Matt Handford and Trae Gosling at the University of St Mark and St John , Plymouth last year. He has experience of National League Rugby with Plymouth Albion and with Lydney and will add to the second row options at Head Coach Jon Hill's disposal this season. Hill comments:

"With the retirement from 1st xv rugby of Chris Bentley, and the loss of Ollie Pyne back to Sidmouth, we had a big hole to fill in the back five of the pack compounded with the news that Ben Hawley will miss a big chunk of the season as he is off travelling. This is in addition to the fact that the league we are in is more physically demanding, and with an increased squad size and more games, we now think we have the back five of the scrum sorted and are very happy with the players we have managed to recruit.

"Jim gained some rave reviews playing for Devon Under 20's and comes with glowing references from those who have played with him. Whilst he has suffered a few injuries, he should be fit for mid September and be pushing hard for inclusion. We are delighted to welcome him to Exmouth and are very grateful to Jim's player sponsor, John Ludlow , who has enabled us to bring Jim to the club."

Jim is seen here being welcomed to the club by Forwards Coach Stuart Lowe
