Plymouth Albion v Exmouth A Xv 24-0 Plymouth Albion v Exmouth B Xv 38-5 Albion run out comfortable winners in both periods

Exmouth RFC Head Coach Jon Hill Comments:

"A very productive run out for us against higher league and impressive outfit Plymouth Albion. Whilst each side that we put out conceded four or five tries in each period, we had good possession and territory and the game highlighted key areas for us to work on.

"Dan Parkes has assembled a very good squad and Albion were particularly well drilled up front and were deadly on the counter attack and off turnover ball. Five of their scores came from deep in their own half and came direct from a turnover of possession. They were a second quicker to react to almost everything and were fitter than us also which played a key role in the game. George Mills and Dan Williams look like forming an impressive back row partnership with Mills outpacing some of our backs for a try from an overthrown Exmouth line out on the half way line!. Former Brixham winger Matt Crosscombe hacked through from an Exmouth knock on from 40m out to score , and added a try set up from former Cockle Dan Powell early on.

"We showed some good signs at times and in the first period, Milo Reynolds and Dave Bargent made good line breaks against a hard press defence, but we failed to capitalise. Mike Richards showed up very well in his first game for the club, and Shane Cooper also did well in his first game for three years.
