Joined by Stu Lowe who is (probably) hanging up his boots!

Exmouth RFC is delighted to announce the appointment of Head Coach Jon Hill for a further two seasons. Hill is joined by former Club captain Stuart Lowe who is likely to call an end to his playing days and concentrate on a full time coaching role at the Club having been in a player coach role this past season.

The Cockles hope to confirm other appointments in due course as the Club looks to go one better next season after an agonising last minute loss in this seasons Play-offs.

Director of Rugby Chris Wright commented "I am delighted Jon has agreed to continue in his role as Head Coach. Exmouth has seen unprecedented success under Jon's guidance, the fact that this is a two year appointment adds real continuity to our coaching team. Senior Rugby at Exmouth has seen the Club establish itself as the third highest placed club after Exeter Chiefs and Plymouth Albion. We are heading into the short break before preseason in the knowledge we have Jon onboard for the foreseeable future, which is great news going forward.

"With Stuart Lowe taking on the role of player coach this season alongside Chris Bentley the forwards have once more been a force to be reckoned with both guys being highly respected by the players around them.

"Talking with Stu, he feels his playing days at this level are numbered having played 1st XV rugby at the club for 21 years from from the early days in Cornwall and Devon League to National Two. We are delighted he has reaffirmed his already fantastic commitment to Rugby at ERFC by taking on a full coaching role."

Alongside these appointments a number of the existing squad have committed to the Cockles , a clear desire to go one better next season.
