Funpark xv claim Boxing Day Victory

6 months ago By Jon Hill

It was billed as the Fun Parks farewell swan song and the game did NOT disappoint!

Chris Wright’s Funpark xv claimed a 21-12 victory over the Father and Sons XV in a well supported game and event with plenty of drama and even a streaker/player , much to the amusement of those with magnifying glasses on the sidelines !!

64 players in total graced the field including the returning Andrew ‘kiwi’ Powell , back to play alongside ‘dad’ Jon Stone whilst representing his former employer.

A statement from Chris Wright reads:

“A massive thanks to all whom turned out today and Inparticular to all those who represented the Fun Park and who have worked for me over the years. Too many staff to count but an end of an era. It was the first victory against any form of opposition for many a year !!”

No doubt a few sore bodies tomorrow, but a great club event with ten sets of Dads n Lads gracing the field in a great family occasion.
