Ridgeway can become the 'real deal'

Flying winger Harvey Ridgeway has put pen to paper and committed to the Cockles for the coming season and is being sponsored by MECA Car Services as he looks to become a regular fixture in the Cockles 1st XV Squad.

Ridgeway, 18, made his debut on the wing for the Cockles away at Brixham last season and has impressed throughout pre season with his ability to score tries from distance. He played very well against Honiton and Topsham last week and is sure to push hard for 1st XV selection.

MECA Car Services’ award winning garage owner, Jennifer Riach, is a keen rugby fan and comes from Exmouth, so knows all about the Cockles and the role that they play in the community. A successful local businesswoman, Jennifer is keen to be associated and work closely with the Cockles this coming season, saying “We have a long association with the club and have many friends, customers and suppliers who have either played for Exmouth RFC themselves or their sons have, so we are extremely proud to be given the opportunity to sponsor Harvey. We wish him and the Cockles a very successful season.”

Player Sponsorship has been very popular during the off season as we look to build relationships with local businesses and give them a personal touch for their support of the club. Anyone interested should email sponsorship@exmouthrugby.co.uk
