Last season the Club Discipline Committee had to deal with two cases of abuse of a match official. This offence is treated very seriously by the Club, Devon RFU and the RFU with both offenders receiving bans.

The Discipline Committee take their responsibility to protect the reputation of Exmouth RFC and the game of rugby football very seriously and will use all the sanctions at their disposal to prevent such abuse. You should be aware that the sanctions for abuse by a player range from 6 to 18 weeks + with the provision to extend this tariff to 52 weeks.

If an official or spectator abuses a match official they will be charged by the RFU with conduct which is prejudicial to the interests of the game and can expect a lengthy ban from the touchline.

Please respect the match officials for without them there will be no rugby.
