Exmouth have signed four players in the last couple of weeks to add depth to their squad ....

Director of Rugby, Chris Wright comments:

"We have been approached by three of the four players to come and sign for us, which I think is a great sign for the health and status of the club that we are seen as an attractive team to play for and in an environment where they feel they can develop their game.

"Henry Goldson was playing for Old Redcliffians in our league but works in Exeter with Garry Hooper and Alex Goldman, and was only travelling back up to Bristol to play on a Saturday. He lives locally so the decision is a logistical one and one we are delighted with. Henry has knowledge of our league, knows a number of our players and has settled in very well to our squad. He is primarily a centre and will offer vital competition in this area as we have only had two fit recognised centres for large parts of this season.

"Nick Hulat contacted the club as he has moved down from the midlands. He is a Teaching Assistant at Exmouth community College and is a versatile back five forward who had been playing in the Midlands at level 6 in the rugby pyramid. He is young, very keen and in great shape , having a personal trainer background. Nick has impressed massively at training since Christmas and will certainly be pushing for a first team spot soon.

"Harvey Ridgeway played for us before Christmas in a strong 'A' xv game against Launceston under lights. He is playing exceptionally well for Exeter College on the wing and has raw pace, and is very elusive. He adds to our back three options which are somewhat limited, and is a very similar type of player to Richard Bright. He certainly has a bright future in the game.

"Jonny Selway contacted us last week prior to us playing his then club, Chard. He asked if he could come and train as he wanted to test himself and he is good friends with George Meadows and Ollie Rice. He wants to push for the scrum half shirt, and he is well aware he will have to play his way into the side. He is very keen to develop his game and we are happy to have him on board."

Both Henry Goldson and Harvey Ridgeway make the bench for this weekends semi final against Brixham. Welcome to the Cockles boys
