Exeter College and Wellington back five forward Trae Gosling becomes Exmouth's second summer signing ahead of their debut National League Two Season.
Gosling has played for Wellington, alongside former England International Second Row Dave Sims (current Head Coach of Wellington RFC), who has recommended him to the Cockles. Sims, a work college of Exmouth Head Coach Jon Hill at Exeter College, is fully supportive of player development and is happy for Trae to test his undoubted skills at a higher level.
Director of Rugby Chris Wright comments:
"Trae has been training with us on and off since February, to fit in and around his Wellington League games, with the complete blessing of Wellington Head Coach Dave Sims. He has integrated extremely well into the squad, which is a huge bonus for when we will begin pre season.
"Trae is a very committed young man, who has huge aspirations of playing at a higher level. His conditioning is first rate, which should be expected from someone who is just finishing his gym instructor qualifications at Exeter College and who already works in the health and fitness industry.
"Jon Fabian, Ross Morshead and Jon Hill all speak very highly of him, having worked with him over the past three years, and he is very keen to buy into what we are trying to achieve here."
