Coaches comments from 33-18 victory over old Redcliffians and preview of this weekends promotion chasing clash with Oxford Harlequins, at home, 2.30pm

"Saturday's performance was absolutely superb and the victory away from home against a quality and vastly improved Old Redcliffians demonstrated our mental toughness and team spirit.

"A lot of credit should go to the work the boys put in during the pre season phase as our fitness and toughness during the last twenty minutes allowed us to pull away from the opposition in what could well be a season defining victory. Ali Hill and Dave Bargent literally drilled the guys for two months at the marine camp and it is so pleasing when you see your side move from 19-18 up with fifteen minutes to go, to go onto win 33-18, chasing down a bonus point victory away in Bristol.

"The impact from the bench from former captains Ross Morshead and Garry Hooper was huge and allowed us to get a real grip on the game by adding experience and game smart players. James Harris caused havoc at the breakdown throughout and George Meadows was mercurial with the boot adding 7 from 7 for a personal tally of 18 points.

"With results going our way elsewhere, we now know that a victory this weekend will give us the play off spot, which we have been working so hard towards achieving all season. We will be looking for a big crowd to support us in our efforts to achieve this goal with two games to spare, but also safe in the knowledge that we also require more points to gain home advantage that could also prove crucial.

"This weekend, we are offering a special price of £5 entry on the game with a free pasty, in the hope that we can entice an additional group of fans who can watch us strive to become part of the top 2% of rugby clubs in the country (National Two).

"We should also be at full strength this weekend, and with the likes of Stuart Lowe, Ali Hill, Rich Cadywould and Matt Harris all missing out last weekend, competition for places is a very good position to be in at this stage of the season"
