That's Entertainment.

This was always going to be a thrilling encounter and a large crowd gathered to watch the Cockles run out big winners 61-21. The first 15 minutes this was a tight competition with both teams looking to get the advantage. At 19-14 this looked light a see saw game. Eventually the Exmouth boys stepped up the intensity to overhaul the visitors. 9 tries from Harvey Ridgeway, Nick Headley, Tom Steer (2), Nick Watt, Joel Ranft and a hat trick from Sam Fulthorpe did the damage. 7 conversions from the boot of Rich Cadywould and 1 from Steer added to the final score.

A tough day with injury as Ned Mills suffered a broken thumb to ensure a few weeks off the park. This was a competitive Devon Merit Table 1 fixture in which the young Cockles tightened their grip at the top of the table. Still some tough games to come but the balance and pace from the backs was too much for Devonport to handle. Exmouth forward pack was solid and efficient, building the platform to launch attacking phases. Next up, Cullompton ll at home on Saturday.
