Exmouth make a number of enforced changes against their Devon Rivals

A growing injury and unavailability list has prompted a number of changes to the Cockles line up ahead of tomorrows Devon Derby against Newton Abbot.

Forwards Coach Dave Bargent Comments:

"We are fortunate enough to have a large enough squad to cope with a few injuries and un-availabilities, which is handy given our current situation. We have been, and continue to be, decimated by injuries in key positions which is a shame, but not something that can be helped. We play a contact sport and there will always be a few niggles. It is important that we regroup and work even harder, especially given the context and complexity of the challenge we face this weekend.

"There is no place better than Newton Abbot to go and put on a show, and it is important that we give a good account of ourselves. They have a back line that has players who have played in the Premiership and also on the International stage, so of course will be very dangerous, but we just have to focus in on our own processes and playing better than we did last week. If we do that, and focus in on things that we can control like our defensive shape and our execution then we will give ourselves our best shot.

"Having Mike Richards and Ross Morshead return to the forwards are important bonuses for us. They are big game players, and will need to make an impact this weekend. In the backline, we continue to miss Richard Bright and Henry Goldson , which just means that others get an opportunity to shine and stake their claim. George Meadows is an important part of the club and has a big role to play. He will need to step up this weekend".
