The Devon Cup Final Squad has been named as we look to achieve a League and Cup Double this weekend :

Coaches Comments:

"Exmouth RFC has already had its most successful season in its History, and gaining the Cup back would certainly be the icing on the cake for us. It is a competition that we have taken very seriously over the last six years. We won it for four years on the bounce up until last year, and now have an opportunity to regain this against the only side who have beaten us in this competition in the last 6 years.

"We have the upmost respect for Brixham RFC in so many ways. The way in which the club operate and have a sustainable model is something to admire. They work hard on and off the pitch to develop as a club and have become more and more competitive in recent seasons with investment in the coaching and playing resources. Not many clubs operating at level five have the opportunity to recruit the likes of Ed Barnes and Martin Worthington in their playing ranks. Adam Thomas is an inspirational captain and quality player, and Dan Parkes is a very passionate and astute coach who will have the players buzzing for Saturday.

"We are well aware of the quality that they have in their squad but also very aware of what we are capable of achieving ourselves. The Cup is really important to us, and the event itself has great potential for us as a club. We pick from a fully fit squad, and it really will be a squad effort this weekend. There have been a few guys on the fringes in recent weeks who have missed out on some tough calls in vital matches. They all have points to prove, and we expect big things from them. We are also likely to include Impressive 18 year old outside back George Mears who played so well for the Under 18's Colts in their final last week, and has made a big impact in some 1st xv and some Senior Devon games this season. He certainly has a lot of potential for the future and this is a great opportunity for him."
